Final days of training

Some of us are taking training more serious than others (I say quietly...), but Lynda and Rebecca took advantage of the unusually wet and windy weather in the remote North West of Tasmania to test their wet weather gear. They walked 20 kilometers to test their rain gear, not to mention their legs. Good onya guys!

In the mean time Karina in Adelaide is testing her stomach with Spanish dishes at El Toro Espanol, and Walter in Devonport is eating Paellas from the newly bought Paella pan.

....

Three weeks to go!

Going to Print!

Counting down to September now! The final design is here. We have no major sponsor willing to back us (for the required $1500-$5000) so we will print our CF postcards to hand out along the walk without a commercial logo on the front! Refreshing really. As Cystic Fibrosis is one of the very few conditions where doctor's don't mind us eating McDonalds and Hungry Jacks (we need high fat and high salt diets!) I suppose I could've approached them for sponsorship lol.

Special thanks to the Mad Bomber company in Virginia that has contributed significantly to many Cystic Fibrosis related events, including all my past ones! In addition to financial assistance they have given us a special discount coupon code to print on the back of the postcards for people to get a small discount on their winter hats (see one on the left!) and outdoor fashion products. The Mad Bomber logo is proudly featured on the back of our postcard.

But in all seriousness, last call, get in quick, if you know any organsiation interested in backing our worthwhile project as a major sponsor contact sponsor@cotu.biz or call me urgently +61-417067-460 ASAP. Vistaprint has a good offer which I will use to print these postcards in the next 24 hours!
